Platform specification

Built for integration from day one.

ArcX is a fully customisable BLE wearable platform. Whether you are embedding our hardware, licensing the firmware, or building from a development kit, everything here is designed to reduce your time to integration.

Hardware

A single, compact form factor engineered for real-world environments that kill conventional inputs.

Form factor
Ring (wearable) or mount-ready housing for handlebars, poles, paddles, and tools
Input mechanism
Thumb-operated micro joystick with click
Housing
Waterproof, shockproof enclosure
Weight
Sub-10 grams in ring configuration
Connectivity
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
Power
Configurable power management, optimised for shift-length or session-length use
Firmware updates
OTA (over-the-air), no physical intervention required post-deployment
Customisation
Mechanical design, electronics, housing, and branding available at OEM and white-label level

Connectivity and protocols

ArcX supports two BLE integration paths. Both can coexist in a single firmware build.

Standard

BLE HID

Standard Human Interface Device profile. Works with any HID-compatible host out of the box. No custom driver required. Ideal for rapid prototyping or lightweight integrations.

Advanced

Custom GATT

Define your own characteristics, descriptors, and event structure. Used where you need precise control over data format, latency, or device behaviour post-pairing. Full GATT profile documentation available on request.

Platform and SDK support

SDKs are available across all major operating systems. Each SDK covers BLE discovery, pairing, event subscription, and firmware update handling.

Android

Full SDK. Supports BLE HID and custom GATT. AAR library available.

iOS

Full SDK. CoreBluetooth-based. Compatible with iPhone and iPad.

macOS

Full SDK. Compatible with M-series and Intel. Suitable for desktop and kiosk applications.

Windows

Full SDK. Compatible with Windows 10 and above. Suitable for enterprise and industrial deployments.

Linux

Full SDK. Tested on Ubuntu and Debian-based distributions. Suitable for embedded and industrial hardware.

Dev Kit

Ring unit, pairing hardware, SDK bundle, and integration documentation. Available to qualified partners on request.

Customisation and OEM

ArcX is offered at four levels of customisation. Partners choose the depth that fits their product and timeline.

SDK Integration

Fastest path to market

Use ArcX hardware and firmware as-is. Integrate via SDK into your own application. Lowest engineering overhead.

Firmware Customisation

Tailored behaviour

Retain ArcX hardware. Adjust firmware behaviour, input mapping, power profiles, and GATT structure to your specification.

White Label

Your brand. Our platform.

ArcX hardware with your branding. Ring body, colour, and packaging customised. Firmware branded to your product.

Full OEM

Built to your spec

Mechanical design, electronics, firmware, and branding built to your specification. Subject to minimum order volume. Lead time discussed at scoping stage.

All customisation tiers include access to OTA firmware update infrastructure, so post-deployment improvements do not require physical product recall.

Integration support

We work with partners at the integration stage, not just at the point of sale. Depending on your tier, support includes:

  • Integration documentation and SDK reference
  • GATT profile specification
  • Firmware configuration guide
  • A dedicated technical contact during pilot
  • OTA update management for deployed units

Integration support is included for qualified partners at pilot stage and above. For initial conversations, the contact form is the right starting point.

Ready to integrate, or still scoping?

Either is fine. Tell us where you are in the process and we'll send the relevant documentation. If it's not a fit, we'll say so.
